Precautionary Boil Water Notice

Due to reduced distribution system pressure in the water system, on 10/14/25 due to major water line repair the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has required The City of Daingerfield water system ID #1720001 to notify customers to boil their water prior to consumption (e.g., washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc). Children, seniors, and persons with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all customers should follow these directions).
To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to use. The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source.
In lieu of boiling, individuals may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the water system officials will notify you that the water is safe for consumption. Instructions to discontinue boiling will be issued in the same manner as this notice.

Debido a una reducción en la presión del sistema de distribución de agua el 14/10/25, causada por una reparación mayor en la línea principal de agua, la Comisión de Calidad Ambiental de Texas (TCEQ) ha requerido que el sistema de agua de la Ciudad de Daingerfield, ID #1720001, notifique a los clientes que deben hervir el agua antes de consumirla (por ejemplo, para lavarse las manos/cara, cepillarse los dientes, beber, etc.).
Para asegurar la destrucción de todas las bacterias dañinas y otros microbios, el agua para beber, cocinar y hacer hielo debe hervirse y enfriarse antes de su uso.
