- January 14, 2026 is the first day to file an application for a place on the ballot for the May 2, 2026 Election.
- Applications must be filed in the City Secretary's office no later than 5:00 p.m. on February 13, 2026
Appointment of Campaign Treasure(Form CTA) and Instruction Guide. The CTA form is to be filed with the City Secretary's Office. Please note that in accordance with Texas Law, you must designate a Campaig Treasurer before any funds can be expended or campaign contributions accepted. You may name yourself as Treasure.
- There is an option for modified reporting on the form. Candidates who do not intend to accept more thatn $1,140 in political contributions or expend more than $1,140 in political expenditures may elect to report under the modified reporting schedule.
- Candidates reporting under the modified schedule are not required to file pre-election reports(due 30 days, and eight days before an election)
