Important Utility Billing Update

Dear Daingerfield Utility Customer,
We want to provide you with advance notice of an upcoming update to our water utility billing software. The software provider is transitioning to a new payment processing system beginning November 26th, which will change the way automatic payments (auto-draft) are stored and processed.
This update does not affect your utility rates or fees, but it will require all customers who currently use auto-draft to re-enter their payment information in the billing portal.
What This Means for You
Between November 26th and December 8th, customers using auto-draft will need to:
✅ Log in to the online utility billing portal
✅ Update or re-enter your saved payment method
✅ Re-authorize your auto-draft settings
This step ensures your payments continue drafting without interruption.
Why This Is Required
For security purposes, the system does not allow City staff to input or update auto-draft information on behalf of customers. Only the account holder can enter payment details.
Reminder on Your Next Water Bill
A reminder of this required update will also appear on your next monthly water bill so you have ample notice to make the change.
